Ladies and gentlemen,

I am preparing a book for publication called “The Tijuana River Estuary and Border Field State Park.” In that book I reference the Radioplane Company which once operated from Metropolitan Airport in Van Nuys. Marylin Monroe’s only non-theatrical employment was at that company and at their Van Nuy’s facility. It was Captain Ronald Reagan who sent a photographer to the Radioplane Company to get photos of Women War Workers and “Norma Jean” was the one photographed and her career began.

Further, the Warner Brothers motion picture Casablanca was filmed not 200 yards from that company’s back door.

I am requesting use of a single continuity shot (below) simply to reference the interesting linkages between Hollywood and the U.S. Navy drones produced at the Radioplane Company and their use at the U.S. Navy Installation at Border Field State Park.

The image will be approximately two by three inches when published.

Sincerely,

Robert Beken, Tritium Press
